Clark County Habitat Stores

Program Information

You don’t have to swing a hammer to build a house!

Our stores are bursting at the studs with fantastic donated materials and we are searching for folks just like you to help. We value teamwork, kindness, and dedication to the cause of helping our community achieve strength and stability through affordable homeownership - one used hammer, door, washing machine, couch, or toilet at a time!  No experience required.

Time Commitment:

No minimum time commitment required. We’re open to volunteers 7 days a week and would love to have you on our team. Shifts occur in 2, 4, or 8-hour blocks from 9am-6pm.

Volunteer Tasks:

Our volunteers and staff work hard to receive and process donations, stock and merchandise product, provide excellent customer service to our amazing shoppers and donors, and help keep the store tidy and user friendly.

Our staff at the Habitat for Humanity Store are dedicated to providing top-notch training and support to our incredible crew of volunteers on a daily basis.

Please note: Our minimum age to volunteer in our stores is 14 years old.

COURT-ORDERED COMMUNITY SERVICE

For court-ordered community service, please contact the Volunteer Coordinator at volunteer@ehfh.org or (360) 737-1759. Please note that we are unable to accept individuals who have a history of person-to-person crime (e.g. assault, battery, etc), theft (e.g. burglary, robbery, etc.), violence (assault, harassment), or crimes of a sexual nature. This is not an all-encompassing list.

How to Get Started

The first step to volunteering in one of our Habitat Stores is to join us for a two-hour orientation & training shift.

These take place weekly in each store. The orientation covers both stores, so if you attend the orientation at one store, you can sign up to volunteer at another store without needing to go through another orientation.

We recommend choosing the orientation that best fits your schedule and preferred location.

To sign up for a Central Store orientation, click here.

To sign up for a West Store orientation, click here.

If you recently completed orientation and are looking for more shifts, you must be logged in. Click here to log in.

What if all the volunteer spots are full?

We recommend joining the waitlist in case a spot opens up!

Group Opportunities

We love hosting groups at the Store! Come get your hands dirty reorganizing a section of the store, put your skills to the test building furniture, or help us sort, price, and stock. Groups of up to 10 volunteers are welcome any day of the week for 2-6 hours anytime between 9am and 4pm.

Email Miranda at volunteer@ehfh.org to set something up. Learn more about group opportunities here.

Health and Safety

Closed-toed shoes are required for volunteering. Masks are currently not required, but we expect everyone to be respectful of each other's decisions.

We strive for a culture where people of every race, ethnicity, nationality, economic status, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, size, and disability are welcomed, empowered, and celebrated. Please contact us about any accessibility requirements you have so we can work together to accommodate you.

What We Do

At Evergreen Habitat for Humanity, we bring people together building homes, communities, and hope through affordable homeownership. Thank you for putting the heart in our homes!
