Habitat Store Donation Pick Ups (DPU) support volunteers primarily will help with checking voicemails and fielding calls as appropriate. Depending on experience the volunteer may return calls, dependent on comfort with our system and donation guidelines.
Supervisor: Volunteers will work primarily with our donation coordinator, Chad. Chad will oversee training and provide guidance on messaging. He will also field questions regarding pickups, and follow up on more complex calls. Miranda, our volunteer coordinator, will field questions about GetConnected and tracking volunteer hours.
Commitment: We ask that our DPU support volunteer commit to four shifts per month (preferably once per week). This helps the training process move along and also allows volunteers to work more independently after training. Depending on availability there is opportunity to volunteer in short periods by just checking voicemails and logging the contents, or to both check messages and return calls. We are very flexible!
Location: This position will take place in our Evergreen Office, located in our Clark County Habitat Store. Volunteer shifts can take place Monday-Thursday, 9-4, and Fridays depending on Chad's schedule.
