No Experience Necessary!
- Volunteers receive direction and support from Habitat construction staff and volunteer crew leaders
- Evergreen Habitat will provide all the tools and supplies needed for a build
Outline of Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Working on construction-related tasks with homebuyers and/or other volunteers
- Following safety guidelines
- Reporting directly to the Evergreen Habitat staff on site
- Being respectful of staff, homebuyers, and other volunteers on site
Expectations:
- Time Commitment: Shifts can vary. Some days are 8:30am-3:00pm, while others are 8:30 am-1:00pm. Volunteers must be able to commit to the entire shift. We understand that life happens but please stay until we are all cleaned up for the day. Some days may end earlier than others.
- Age requirement: Must be at least 16 years old with a completed Youth Waiver before coming to site. Must be 18+ to use power tools.
- Qualifications: Volunteers must sign a Release and Waiver of Liability and our Volunteer Code of Conduct online before coming to site.
- Clothing Requirement: Volunteers are required to wear closed-toed sturdy shoes and comfortable clothing that can get dirty/get paint on.
- Items to Bring: Please come equipped with a water bottle and lunch. There is a microwave you can use.
- Signing up: Please do not come to site if we are at capacity. Please unregister or email volunteer@ehfh.org as soon as you know you cannot come to make space for another volunteer.
- What if all the volunteer spots are full? I recommend joining the waitlist in case someone unregisters.

- 16001 NE 34th St, Vancouver, WA 98682.
- Please park in the church parking lot, in the very back corner closest to Johnson Village. You can get to the construction site by walking through the grass towards the community garden.
*Volunteer tasks/activities will vary on a day-to-day basis. Current tasks mainly include paint touch-ups, installing trim, digging window wells, mulching, and other finishing touches as we wrap up the final stages of these homes.
