Evergreen Habitat has been selected as a beneficiary of the Lion’s Club Shred event!
While the Salmon Creek Lions Club members coordinate and perform the duties of the event, they would like to invite Evergreen staff and volunteers to join them. Assistance with directing traffic and unloading the paper and food is always appreciated, as we can have over 300 cars during the 3-hour period. Our presence and signage is also a good way to outreach and show partnerships in our community.
While this service is free to participants, they do accept cash and food donations. The food donations are provided to Clark County Food Bank. For each shred event, SCLC designates a local charitable organization to give all cash proceeds to. For this event, all cash donations will go to Evergreen Habitat for Humanity.
About the event:
"One of the SCLC’s community service activities is a document and paper shredding event. At least two times per year, we provide this service to the general public, as an opportunity for them to responsibly destroy and discard sensitive information such as bank statements, tax returns, legal documents, and electronic storage devices. We contract Lemay Services to provide the shredding capabilities in a professional and responsible manner."
