Our food box program was started during the pandemic, but continues as our Habitat Families still have a huge need for affordable groceries.
Food is donated by Trader Joes each Monday. We have two volunteers who help pick the food up, but need more folks to help sort the food into boxes for our families to pick up. The boxes are sorted based on family size and dietary restrictions.
When you arrive, you will help set up tables, gather boxes from storage, and staple labels to boxes. Once the food arrives you will help sort. Sorting is typically finished between 11:30am and 12pm.
There will be another volunteer or staff member present to show you the ropes.
The store is closed to customers on Mondays. Please enter the parking lot through the east entrance (Ellsworth) and enter the building through the garage door (if opened) or through the office door (you will need to ring the doorbell).
